The Society Seneschal manages the administration
of the Society's historical recreation, directing the activities
of the Kingdom Seneschals and making interpretations of and
clarifications to the policies governing historical recreation
aspects of the Society.

The exchequer is in charge of the financial
affairs of the group.
- The Castlemere Exchequer will be happy to answer any questions
you have about the SCA Finances.
- All return checks will be subject to a $20 fee.
- Any gentle who does not pay their fees by the time registration
closes at an event will be considered to have spent the
entire weekend with feast and shall be charged accordingly.
Gentles who do not pay their event fees or use NSF check
to do so will not be permitted to attend events until all
fees are paid in full.
- Requests for refunds must be in writing and received
3 days in the advance for a full refund. Requests made at
the event will be refunded site fees only. Refund requests
will be accepted no later then 20 days after the close of
the event.

If you are new to the SCA or have questions,
please feel free to contact me. The Hospitaller is the officer
who acts as a representative for the SCA and a source of information
for participants. I help new participants get involved in
the SCA by introducing them to experienced members, teaching
them about SCA and Kingdom traditions, and conveying customs
and policies.
I also work with members of the public to schedule educational
demonstrations for schools, community organizations, and others
interested in the period of history that we research and re-create.

YOUTH COMBAT MARSHALL

The Youth Combat Marshal's office is responsible
for overseeing the combat related activities in the Shire
for our youth between the age of 6 and 17 years of age - both
male and female. Participation in youth combat requires compliance
with special armor and weapons standards, as well as the presence
of the parent or legal guardian during all tournaments and
scenarios in which the youth participates.
In order to participate in youth combat, a parent
or legal (Court Appointed) guardian must be present at all
times.
In addition the parent must be willing to sign a waiver of
liability. Waivers will be available at practice.
If you need loaner armor, you must contact me ahead of time
to let me know what pieces you need and in what sizes.
You must provide your own athletic 'cup'. Closed toes shoes
should be worn, along with long pants and a comfortable shirt.

The Minister of Arts and Sciences is charged with fostering
the Arts and Sciences at the local level. Responsibilities
include: Arranging local classes on a wide variety of topics,
assisting Shire members through the process of entering projects
in competition, encouraging the sharing of knowledge among
members, & reporting Shire Art-Science activities to the
Kingdom.

MINISTER of YOUTH

Officer in charge of providing educational activities
for the children of the Shire and Dean of the "Shire
of Castlemere Youth Academy for Pages & Maids". Youth
activities are not a babysitting service and do not relieve
the parents of their responsibilities.
The Castlemere Dragonslayer Academy
Incorporates ideas from both school curricula
and scouting programs offering a fun and educational curriculum
with many hands-on activities. In the Castlemere Youth Academy,
children and their parents form a team. Together they discover
and explore the many facets of medieval life and spend valuable
time together and with other parent-children teams.
The Castlemere Dragonslayer Academy
Does not automatically provide youth activities
at Shire events. Anybody is welcome and encouraged to consider
volunteering for this particular event activity. Due to the
background check requirement for youth activities, the Youth
officers will be happy to assist any member of the Shire interested
in hosting youth activities at local events through assisting
in supervising, planning and hosting said activities.
The Castlemere Minister of Youth will
be happy to answer any questions you have about your child
and the SCA.
Attention: Kingdom
Law!
*All children under the age of 12 MUST have
an Identification Tag on them at all times
with the following information:
-Child's mundane name
-Parent’s mundane and SCA name
-Where they are camping at the event
If your child is found in violation of this
rule, you will be requested to leave site with no refund.
*Children MUST possess a
Waiver to be at the event with their Parents
