Greetings,

Most of the Written History of our Shire has been lost through various means. I have a interest in preserving Shire History if at all possible, so I have attempted to recreate it to the best of my ability.

Most of the information for the History Web Site (see link below) & Scrapbooks come from:
* The Shire of Castlemere newsletter "CastleLore";
* "The History of Trimaris Web Site" that was created by Baroness Natalija Varvara Stoianova, O.P.;
* The Castlemere Internet Mailing List Archive;
* and from members of the shire both past and present.

I have gone over each piece of documentation several times looking for information to pull out and fill in the databases. The Links you find inside will take you to the information I have found so far, it is by no means complete, there is much more History to find and document.

* This project is for all members of the shire past and present, so even if you no longer live in the shire I would be interested in hearing from you about the time you lived here.
* I'm also very interested in having you submit your stories and comments to be added to this collection.
* I welcome all suggestions, corrections and comments. (Please! Email me!!!)
* I am also looking for several people to help with the collection of information, both living inside and
   outside the shire area, it doesn't matter to me if you are currently active in the SCA or not.
* If you would like to aide in this project, by lending me newsletters or scanning newsletters, photos, etc and e-mailing them to me; please contact me about Guidelines.

I want to thank the following people for helping me on this very large project:
Baroness Natalija Varvara Stoianova, O.P. - who created the History of Trimaris web site & inspired me to start Castlemere's History.
Lady Lilias McLeod - The first person to provide me with any information for the Scrapbooks and the Web Site.
Mistress Aspasia Jeanne Cartier O.L.- who held in trust many of Castlemere older artifacts and gifted them back to the shire.
Thank you Ladies so much.
